During the Bulgarian Revival Period, as it is and in modern times, the cafes played an important socio-political and cultural role in our history. There the men had rest discussing the world problems.
There were 10 cafes in the '70s of 19th c. in Gabrovo. There was a draw-well in the yard of the Motko's cafe (transferred in the museum) in order the cafe-keeper to see his beloved woman as the women did not have the right to enter the cafes.
Today in the Revival cafe the museum guest can taste traditional Turkish type of coffee, boiled on sand, white jam and small sweets with aroma of the past.
