Lazar Donkov's study

Lazar Donkov (1908-1976) is the initiator, the founder and the first director of the ethnographic open-air museum "Etar".
This is the director's study where he worked from 1968 to 1976.
On the writing-desk there's his personal diary, a copy of his "Brief notes on the establishing of the ethnographic park-museum "Etar", 1971; and the book "From the economic past of Gabrovo" by Dr. P.Tsonchev (1929).
The pictures in the photo album are taken by Lazar Donkov and they reveal some moments from the constructing of the Craftsmen's lane.

On the 7th of September 1994, Lazar Donkov is declared an "Honorary citizen of town Gabrovo".
