Chiprovtsi - a small town with white houses, a name which shines in the historical memory of Bulgarian people, a community that have obtained with handfuls of knowledge about the culture of the European Renaissance and have created the famous schools of Chiprovtsi.
    The minicipality Chiprovtsi is situated in the northern skirts of Western Balkan Range, 35 km away from the town of Montana and 155 km away from Sofia. For centuries Bulgarians, Catholics and Orthodox live in harmony in Chiprovtsi.

    The craft of weaving carpets has long-centuries tradition in Chiprovtsi. It dates from the end of 17th c. Its characteristic feature is that the weaving carpets was always intended for sale not for the household needs.
    The carpets of Chiprovtsi are famous and demanded in the whole wide world - they are unique with their harmony of colours, with the plain ornaments and perfect composition. They are made from pure wool, coloured with natural paints.
