The Bulgarian lands with their geographical position and climatic conditions are favourable for development of the apiculture. It's a favorite, useful and profitable occupation of the population from the antiquity up to nowadays.
      The bees gift us with honey and some unique bees products used for food, medicine and valuable raw stuff for the industry. The bees pollinate more than 90 types of plants and raise the quantity and quality of their seeds.
      The people have made the bee a symbol of diligence and the honey a symbol of riches and prosperity.

      The exhibition acquaints us with a short period of the centuries-long history of the apiculture - the transition from the primitive bee-keeping to the modern apiculture.
      In 1899 Bulgarian Apiarists' Organization was established in Sofia by some teachers, priests and scientists. With their many-sided activity they succeeded in teaching the Bulgarian apiarists to use new technology of the modern apiculture.
      Except different apiculture's instruments and equipment shown here, the visitors can see the first specialized apicultural Literature and a part of multiple diplomas and prizes, attesting Bulgarian apiarists' contribution to the development of apiculture.
