When the man wasn't yet a man he lived on tree and it was his first home. When he started to become human he bent on it and started walking on foot. Then he took the stick and it became his first weapon. Then from the tree he took the power of fire and it converted him in man.
And the man looked with man's eyes at the tree and looked at the whole world and at the whole universe in it. The man saw the world tree, the tree of life, the tree of knowledge and on its base created a myth. The man put the roots in the down world, the crown named after the heavens world and the trunk left in human's world.
The man felt the tree heat and started working on it. Under his hands thousands of marvelous things started to be produced…And the man started to live with the tree. It obsessed his whole life and the man understood he couldn't do it without tree.
When a man comes to his end on earth he enters "the wooden house", to start living in the forever world.

The natural woodplastic comprises of life and art because the weirdest shaped roots are a result of the aim for surviving and keeping safe. According to G. Kolev most interesting and original facts can be found in the roots of the oak.

For Petko Bankov the interest for tree is born by the unstable soul of the ancestors, and it takes it back to tree, to the roots. More than 50 years, with more than 50 exhibitions at home and around the world, the author challenges us to search for our soul by the art of woo-carving and carving plastic. In the exhibition Petko Bankov presents his works from three big collections:
·This is Bulgaria-showing the authentic colorit and beauty of the seven ethnographic regions in Bulgaria (dobrudjantzi, hurtzoi, mountain dwellers, Thracians, ruptzi, Macedonians, shopps).
·The second collection was born by the idea of the author for Bulgarians to be presented through the view of classics of Bulgarian literature - Ivan Vazov, Elin Pelin, Yordan Yovkov, P.Slaveikov etc. A remembering for the contemporary people.
·The proto-Bulgarian demonology is in the base of the third collection of P. Bankov with the message that if only our national dignity revive we could think of our future as a part of the European and the world culture.

The secrets of cooperage craft Milko Milev learns from his father Georgi. As a little child he remembers when they were going to Karlovo fall fair, the rumour they were going to participate was spreading around before they arrived. To keep and continue the family traditions is a vocation which Milko has accepted and has followed. Under his father's workshop tablet 'Cooper workshop-Trud', he produces all kinds of goods: barrels, casks, wooden barrels, small kegs, brandy flasks, churns etc.
He participates in the exhibition with articles with different size.
