Lyubomir Todorov Dudev was born in 1951 in the town of Kazanluk. He has been an active member of the Society of Masters of folk arts and crafts since 1985. Lyubomir Dudev has taken part in common exhibitions in Bulgaria, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Czech Republic and Hungary. So far has displayed three one man shows in Kazanluk and Plovdiv.
He is a master of various goldsmith techniques such as hemstitch, filigree, carving, etc. The provocation is deliberately sought by him so his personal style can be defined as a vanguard mixture of tradition and contemporaneity.
Half-precious stones are the master - jeweller's favorite preference. Some of them are agate from the Valley of Arda River; nephrite and charoid from Russia; malachite from Asia; amethyst and tiger eye from Africa; mother of-pearl from the Caribbean. Their eccentric shape and colourful line impart poetic spirit and refinement to the article.
The stones are shaped by hand in order to be found both the ornamental element and decorative shape of each of them. The article itself is unique because the design of the natural shape of the stone.

The Architectural and ethnographic complex "Etar" organizes this exhibition in honour of the 55th anniversary of Lyubomir Dudev.
